The Swiss website LeaseTransfer.ch allows you to transfer your leasing contract to another motorist, in order to avoid paying fees to end it.
Grégory Perales launched the LeaseTransfer platform on the basis of an observation : “It is very difficult to get out of a leasing contract”. Leasing companies often charge very high fees to terminate the contract before its end, a contract usually concluded for 4 or 5 years. A friend of Gregory’s was asked to pay 2,500 Swiss francs to terminate her deceased father’s contract ! To avoid paying these fees, the solution is to transfer the contract to another motorist, a common practice in Canada, but unknown in Switzerland.
A win-win solution
LeaseTransfer.ch is a platform dedicated to the transfer and repurchase of leases between individuals registered in Switzerland. It brings together people who want to end their car leasing contract and those who are looking for a cheaper one. The former may wish to return their leased car for personal reasons (birth of a child, divorce, departure abroad), professional reasons (loss of job, car provided by employer), economic or legal reasons (drop in income, loss of licence). The new contracting party benefits from a contract that has already been negotiated, has no contribution to make and is committed for a shorter period. It is therefore an advantageous system for both parties and easy to set up.
Free or 100% accompanied formula
Private individuals and professionals can place an ad on LeaseTransfer.ch to find a buyer. Several formulas are available. The first allows you to leave an ad free of charge on the site for several days. The “Booster” formula offers the possibility of leaving an ad on the platform for 3 months. With the unlimited “Premium” package, users can also choose the “100% accompanied” option. In this case, the site takes care of finding a buyer and the administrative procedures for transferring the leasing. The customer only pays an additional fee if the leasing contract finds a buyer : all he has to do is leave it to the experts !
